Welcome to CIU
Canadian Institute of Underwriters is a long-standing insurance industry-based association dedicated to the exchange of ideas on the current issues and challenges that our CIU members face in the field of underwriting.
The annual agenda of the CIU moves forward through the efforts and dedication of the CIU Executive, a committee formed by peers of the underwriting profession, who have committed to bringing industry colleagues the latest in educational and networking opportunities. Advancement through professionalism is foremost in all association activities.
Few words from our president
Hi, my name is Moetaz (a.k.a Moe) and I am honored to serve as your CIU president this year. During the past years, I have always wanted to support our industry and I cannot think of a better way to do this. We are the largest life underwriting community in Canada and I would like to thank each member for their loyalty. A huge thank you to our sponsors for their continuous support and commitment.
If you are not part of the CIU family yet, I suggest that you check this page as our membership provides great value in terms of education and networking. When you attend any of our events (online or in-person), please do not forget to login your credits in order to renew or obtain your certified FALU designation.
I am proud to lead our executives and committee members who are working very hard to provide the best value to our members. I cannot wait to share all the projects and initiatives that we have planned for you throughout the year so please stay tuned to our updates and communications.
